Nity Jaiswal started Noor as a cloud kitchen in Oakland — today it's a Berkeley dining room serving the Indian flavors she grew up with, all halal and made from scratch.
We don't use spice blends from a bag. Nity grinds her own — cumin, cardamom, cinnamon, and more — because the difference in flavor is something you can actually taste.
Noor started with a six-month-old on Nity Jaiswal's hip and a cloud kitchen in Oakland. What it became is a love letter to Indian cooking — and to the Bay Area communities that made it home.
